Netanel Hadad ("Unsweet," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Unsweet mobile application (the "App").

We believe in privacy by design. We have structured the App so that your most sensitive data remains on your device.

1.1. User-Generated Content (Stored Locally)

All data regarding your sugar intake logs, streaks, cravings, and personal notes ("Health & Habit Data") is stored locally on your mobile device. We do not transmit this specific personal health data to an external cloud server, and we do not view or access your specific log entries. Note: If you delete the App from your device, this data will be permanently lost, as we do not keep a backup copy.

1.2. Usage and Technical Data (Collected via Third Parties)

While we do not see your personal health logs, we do collect anonymized or pseudonymized technical data to understand how the App is used and to improve our marketing efforts. This includes:

  • Device Information: Device model, operating system version, time zone, and language.
  • Usage Data: Which features you use, buttons you click, session duration, and retention metrics.
  • Attribution Data: Information on how you found our App (e.g., which ad you clicked).

2. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party service providers to facilitate our Service, analyze usage, and manage marketing attribution. These third parties have access to your Technical Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

We utilize the following third-party services:

  • Mixpanel: We use Mixpanel to analyze user behavior and engagement within the App. This helps us understand which features are popular and how to improve the user experience.
  • AppsFlyer: We use AppsFlyer for mobile attribution and marketing analytics. This allows us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.
  • Apple In-App Purchase: All payment transactions are processed by Apple. We do not collect or store your credit card details. We only receive a confirmation receipt regarding your subscription status.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the App functionality.
  • To analyze usage trends and improve the App's stability and interface (via Mixpanel).
  • To measure the success of our marketing campaigns (via AppsFlyer).
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraud.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

4.1. Local Data

Since your Health & Habit Data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete this data at any time by simply uninstalling the App.

4.2. Analytics Data

Technical data stored with our third-party partners (Mixpanel/AppsFlyer) is retained according to their data retention policies, typically for a period necessary to provide analytics reports, after which it is aggregated or deleted.

5. Apple iOS Permissions & Tracking

App Tracking Transparency (ATT): On iOS devices, we may request your permission to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites (via the IDFA identifier) for marketing attribution purposes. You have the right to decline this request. If you decline, we will not track you for advertising purposes, but the App will continue to function fully.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without verification of parental consent, we verify to remove that information from our analytics servers.

7. International Data Transfers

Unsweet is operated from Israel. If you are located outside Israel and choose to provide information to us (via our third-party processors), please note that the data, including usage data, may be transferred to—and processed in—countries where our third-party providers (Mixpanel, AppsFlyer) maintain servers, including the United States. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

8. Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Since your primary data is stored on your device, the security of that data also depends on your device's security (e.g., password protection, keeping iOS updated).

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
